This is an important update on the City of Palo Alto's actions in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19). The City will continue to provide updates in a dedicated coronavirus newsletter (subscribe here) as new information becomes available.

A key item in this update is the following:

  • New Community Support Call Center: Open Monday-Friday, 8:30 am— 6 pm. Call us at (650) 272-3181 with your questions about coronavirus.

The City now has a webpage with details on state, federal and local resources to assist businesses during this time. The CDC provides guidance for businesses to help prevent exposure to respiratory illnesses, including COVID-19. The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) anticipates funds will become available to help small businesses in California affected by a slow economy due to the coronavirus outbreak. More information will be available at www.sba.gov.

The Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development compiled helpful information for employers, employees and all Californians as it relates to the coronavirus outbreak. Two new links are small business grants from Facebook and Treasurer’s Office Small Business Resources.
